FAQ
DEFINITION
• Made-to-Order, AKA Special Order, are items that are made for you individually. I may have some of the components in stock, but not the completed piece.
PRODUCTION TIME
• Production time will vary due to the complexity of each piece and the manufacturing processes required. This should be noted at the bottom of each product description in the "DETAILS" section.
CAN I REQUEST A RUSH?
• Yes, items can sometimes made faster than their listed production times, by request. This incurs a rush fee, often because I'll need to have materials shipped next-day if I don't have them on hand; sometimes that isn't necessary. Rush fees can range from $50-$200 depending upon the situation.
• Please contact me to see if a rush for your order & desired need-by-date can be accomodated.
SHIPPING FEES
• Shipping costs are calculated at checkout depending upon the speed, value of your order [for insurance purposes], and if signature is required.
• If you choose a shipping option without a signature required please make sure you will be available to receive it at the time of delivery. Claire Kinder Llc is not responsible for the loss of any package left without a signature.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
• Our international shipping covers the shipping and handling only. The customer is solely responsible for the taxes and import duties due to customs when or after the item is delivered.
RETURNS
• In-stock items are returnable up to 10 days after their delivery. Please contact us for prior authorization. After we receive your return you will be issued a store credit towards a future purchase.
• We do not accept return of items that are: Made-to-Order, purchased with a discount/promotion, been altered or customized in any way (example: ring sizing or engraving), items purchased from another retail establishment.
• The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping & insurance. Shipping fees from the original order are non-refundable.
Ring Sizes
• All rings are made in US rings sizes.
• In-stock rings are made in an array of the most common rings sizes [5-8], and can almost always be sized upon request.
• One-of-a-Kind rings that can be sized always come with one free sizing.
• Rings received in a size that does not fit can usually be sized for a fee of $50 + any needed material costs.
• Some rings cannot be sized once made; this will be noted in the DETAILS section of the product description.
• What stops a ring from being sized is when altering the diameter of the ring changes the micro-architecture that securely holds stones in place. Or, something like an engraved pattern - which can sometimes be worked around, sometimes not. Because of this I almost never made OOAK pieces that cannot be sized.
REPAIRS
• Any flaw inherent to the construction of the piece are free of cost.
• Repairs and repair fees are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
• Customers are responsible for the shipping and insurance of pieces in need of repair due to damage caused by quality of care, or an elective altering [such as sizing].
